The location is up a gravel road in a nice area of 5 cabins. They are remote enough that we were able to relax on the screened in porch with our dog. It takes about 45 min to get to Acadia / Bar Harbor. Susan was very quick to respond throughout our trip and especially when our power went out. The power company was quick to restore power in around 2 hours (per Susan it is typically in around an hour). The owner came out to run the generator to power the well pump so we had water, which was appreciated. Flanders Pond is what most would consider a small lake and it is a <5 minute walk to the boat launch / beach area. Having that nearby was a welcome quiet diversion compared to the summer crowds at Acadia. One minor note for dog owners: the property is mostly all rocks so if your pet is particular about only going on grass, that may be a concern. Thankfully ours is not!"
