You are definitely paying for the convenient location in Maine and also to be ocean front. We felt the home was maybe a “fixer upper” with some quick fixes and things to improve appearance. (Like curtains for closet doors and rope for railings- quaint for some.) Our main complaint was the basement smelled strongly of mold and musty and therefore we could not use the washer/dryer or foosball table which were two of the top reasons we chose this property. (In addition to the ocean- note it cannot always be heard from the deck.) The odor permeated the entryway even with the door closed. Did not receive a response to this until checkout despite sending message through Airbnb after check-in. Guessing there was a flood at some point.
