Bedroom 1 has a queen sized bed, with storage and wonderful water views.
Bedroom 2 has a full sized bed, with lots of natural light and storage.
Second floor/loft:
Loft has a queen bed and a full bed.
This clean and spacious bathroom has a walk in shower, and plenty of towels, and storage.
Living area: A well equipped kitchen with everything you need to cook for your family. There is a propane grill and outdoor seating as well.
The living room has a flat screen TV, and a desk for office work. There is plenty of seating for relaxing with the family.
Outdoors is a nice firepit. There is plenty of outdoor furniture on the deck and access to the waterfront!
Fishing, kayaking and swimming are within 5 steps from the house. If you like to enjoy the fresh Maine waterfront, this is your place!
The house is close to Schoodic mountain for hiking, close to Schoodic National Park (part of Acadia National Park) and the ferry to Bar Harbor out of Winter Harbor.
You are 10 miles from Ellsworth for Hannafords, Shaws, Walmart, shopping and restaurants.
Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor are about 20 miles.
Fireworks can be viewed on many nights right from your lounge chair at the house. ; )

This was the perfect place to host family members including two teen boys, one of whom was very keen to fish. He cast his lure in from the dock and caught one right away--and many more as well, thanks to the kayaks. Swimming was great as well. The kitchen was fantastic and we were able to cook many a meal, when we weren't eating out at the great eateries in the area (all recommended by our hosts). Though right on the water, this beautiful home had NO smell of must or mold--it was airy and cool--with screened windows and ceiling fans in every room. We slept like babes, and woke to the sounds of the loons in the morning. Sunsets REALLY were spectacular from the window, the patio, or the dock! We even used the fire pit (for hotdogs and marshmallows) and the grill, on two different nights. This is the perfect place for a family retreat, or just a group of friends who like life on the lake!
A wonderful stay in a magical place. A beautiful cabin with a pristine lake for your enjoyment. It is a bit of a drive if the majority of your daily plans are on Desert Mt/Acadia Park main attractions; however, we drove back and forth every day and loved the quiet rest in the beautiful lakeside cabin at the end of the day. You have the ability to escape the tourist madness and retreat to serenity. The kayaks were a perfect way to watch sunset from the water (and we saw a bald eagle perching on a tree above us ). We cooked breakfast in the fully stocked kitchen and sat by the fire pit most nights. A perfect getaway. We will be back to explore more of this beautiful area!
Absolutely lovely lakeside cabin. Everything was great. Loved listening to the loons after dark. Highly recommend staying here.
